Frequent power theft in state causes ‘Load-shedding’

AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN) Power-theft through hook line continues in state, but the power department has no concern about these.

The dept. is also failed to control the power theft at rural areas, which  is causing losses for the common people as well as the TSECL dept in case of power distribution.

In many places, power theft is at a high rate with the full acknowledged of the TSECL, but no action is being taken to prevent it.

It’s to be mentioned that Palatana Unit-ll after 1 year of its inauguration by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November 2014, has failed to work properly till day, which has become a matter of worry for the future of Tripura’s load-shedding free power operating system, which CM Manik Sarkar earlier promised to the people of the state Tripura.

The govt. plants are almost dying. But no step is taking to sort out power theft problem.

In that condition, the villages without proper power connectivity in every houses, is also a cause of power theft.
