AGARTALA, Jan 20 (TIWN): Metrological forecast on Tuesday indicated that heavy rain or thunder shower may occur in next 24 hours in isolated part of all the districts of the state.
Speaking to TIWN correspondent on Tuesday, official of metrological department said that there is possibility of rainfall in isolated part of the state.
MET official in its forecast said that the sky in Agartala and its vicinity remain cloudy followed by dense fog in the early hours ofWednesday morning.
Over past few days though there is slight relief from the falling temperature in Tripura, the meteorology department on Tuesday predicted that there is chance of rainfall in the coming 24 hours.
Officials of meteorology department further predicted that though there will not be major fall in the temperature this winter but there are chances of rainfall in next 24 hours.
Without much difference in the status of the Maximum and Minimum temperature, the temperature for Tuesday hovered around 25.1 degree Celsius and 12.1 degree Celsius.
However, in its forecast for Wednesday the maximum and minimum temperature to stay around 22 and 16 degree Celsius.
In the forecast it has been mentioned that dense fog will prevail in the state.
Mostly during the winter season, life observed crippled across the state because of the chill and attendance seem to get poor in most schools and government offices. The streets wore a deserted look and business establishments were closed.
Tripura had recorded its lowest temperature in winter at 2° C in 1972.
However, generally, in Tripura winter starts from November. This year it has started from the month of December. On the other hand, it is observed that compare to other year this year the fall in the temperature was not much.
According to the prediction, there are chances of rain in next24 hours; and hence the famers need to take precaution as the rain may hamper the cultivation.
