AGARTALA, Jan 12 (TIWN): Third day of Tripura assembly's winter session on Tuesday began with the question-answer session between the opposition and the ruling government. Amidst the question hour, leaders of the opposition party raised various issues including giving land to the chit fund companies in the state from the end of the state government. In a question raised by the opposition MLA Gopal Chandra Roy, to Industries and commerce Minister Tapan Chakraborty turned chaotic. MLA Gopal Chandra Roy stated that despite of knowing- Icore, RAMEL and Rose valley a chit fund organisations, why the state government had allotted them land in the state. In the earlier days of the assembly Finance minister of Tripura, Bhanu Lal Saha has made it clear that it is not possible for the State government to take responsibility of returning money of nearly 14-lakh depositors laundered by the chit fund organisations. He was responding to a privet member’s resolution on this issue in the state assembly.The opposition members alleged that the state government cannot avoid responsibility as the ministers themselves campaigned in favour of various chit funds. MLA Ratan Lal Nath reminded the Chief Minister about his assurance in the house that he will not let the depositors to be duped.
On another note of a question raised by the opposition leader Ratan Lal nath to Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha triggered resentments as Ratan Lal Nath alleged embezzlement from all the blocks under every districts and the Ministers are directly involved in the embezzlement of the money.
The allegation triggered resentment in the assembly where Finance Minster Bhana Lal Said that in the every blocks there are audit department and all the embezzlement is under scrutiny.
However, Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy kicked off the winter session of the State Assembly on Friday at 11 a.m. at State Assembly House of Capital Complex.
As per the regulation the first day of the session began with the speech of Governor Tathagata Roy.
The assembly session will continue for five days, except Saturday and Sunday from January 8 till January 14. This session of the assembly tabled vote-on-account and placed a new bill-‘Indian system of Medicine-2016.
The first day of the session witnessed serious revolt by the Monaranjan issue at the assembly and the second was also reported with chaos after opposition staged walk out from the assembly.
