AGARTALA, Nov 27 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Thusday during his first speech before the masses at Bankumari claimed that “Tripura is progressing rapidly than the other states of Indiaâ€. However, Sarkar’s words backfired to the opposition party leaders. PCC President Birajit Sinha while talking to TIWN correspondent said, “Development doesn’t mean only building-making by CPI-M contractors to fill Party Funds!†“Tripura Govt. has buit Schools but no education, no quality teachers inside, has hospitals but no health facility,no good Doctors. Is it called development ?â€. says Sinha. He added, in the name of development, this Govt. is running huge corruption racketsâ€.Asking about the election-campaign of Cong., Sinha said, “Like CPI-M, Cong. has no public fund for misuse, hence we are giving importance to door-to-door campaign and local stage-arrangementsâ€. Sinha further said, “How much these campaigns cost only we know, we are surprised that CPI-M is wasting hundreds crores for a local poll, which is unacceptable in anywayâ€. Criticizing CM’s claims on development, Sinha said, “Tripura is not a rare example in India in the name of development, but it’s rarest in whole world as no state is as corrupted as Tripura and its most corrupt Chief Minister who mastered in organized looting of Central Govt fundsâ€.
“Congress cannot spend like CPI-M which has enmassed hundred of crores black money by massive corruptions with Central sponsored schemes like MGNREGA, RMSA, NHM”.
“Winning is not Cong.’s only ambition, we will continue protest to fight against these corruptions”, said Sinha.
Sinha added that why Manik Sarkar is gripped into corruption as one after one his right hand officials are giving red-mark for massive-corruption.
Out of fear, Manik is saying all these to fool people, but days have gone when uneducated poor people voted like ‘ignorant’ for CPI-M, said Sinha.
From state govt. employees to unemployed youths, all are extrememly unhappy with what the govt. is doing with them. So time has come when people will say “Good-bye” to CPI-M, said Sinha.
However, Chief Minister on Thursday criticizing the central govt. said that BJP does not want the progress of a state which is ruled by any Left-party.
However, asking about this comment of Manik, Sinha said, CPI-M also said the same during Cong. era. Central govt. did its part, but Manik should learn how to use central fund for the sake of development as on CM the whole development of state depends.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is so fond of corruption that whether hiring earlier Chief Secretary S.K.Panda or hiring present DGP K Nagraj who is chargesheeted by CBI for massive corruptions or hiring another nationally tainted IAS official GGS Ayyangar as Principal Secretary who is accused of stealing crores in Hyderabad Lamp scam.
In other words, till Manik Sarkar remains as Chief Minister, Tripura peoples sufferings will have no endings as CM alone pushing State towards economic catastrophe.
