AGARTALA, Nov 25 (TIWN): Tripura Sundari Jila Hospital at Udaipu again in controversy with Congress placed deputation to SDMO Debashish Das on Tuesday alleging that since last ten days drinking water supply had been fully stopped in Tripura Sundari Hospital, as a result of which patients are suffering a lot. However, talking to CMO of Gomt. Dist Nirumohon Jamatia, he said, “Congress is fully lying as not for a single day there was any water-crisis at all in this hospital”, added, “to beg the vote banks, Cong. was searching an issue to hit this hospital and thats what they did”. Nirumohon Jamatia however told TIWN that due to repairing work, one of the tanks had been closed for a day, but this had nothing to do with drinking water at all”. “That water tank had become fully dirty and unworthy to supply water, so we are cleaning this tank”, added. He also said that this water-tank basically supplies bathing water to patients, and bathing water-supplying is not ‘our responsibility’.

Nirumohaon Jamatia also claimed, “Since decades this hospital was left without repairing and any maintenance”. It’s renovation work only started after I came in November, 2014”. “Now all repairing works are going on and this is for the sake of this hospital’s development”. “Cong. has to understand this point”, added.

However he agreed that for one day workers worked over that tank by cutting the pipe-line to clean it. Those  contractor who was involved in this work took permission and then cut the pipe-line and within 1 day that tank has been repaired.

“It was actually a “No issue”, but before the election to beg votes Cong. made it an issue.

However, Udaipur Congress leader Sabita Das while talking to TIWN said that the SDMO Debashish Das himself agreed that this hospital is suffering from many crisis including water-crisis too. Cong. further said that, we are not lying, rather CMO himself is lying.

Nirumohon Jamatia also claims that this renovation work which is for the sake of development is spending my personal funds too. “Tripura Sundari Hospital is coming in better shape, if one visits, s/he can see it”, Jamatia said.

It is to be mentioned here that Tripura Sundari Hospital is suffering from many problems since many years. Reportedly, it’s suffering badly due to lack of proper facilites, staffs, and maintenance. Once the Gomati Dist. Hospital was made, decline of Tripura Sundari Hospital started. 

 But presently, neither the Dist. nor the Sub-divisional Hospital is in a good shape. These hospitals also many times alleged for wrong medical treatment.
