AGARTALA, Oct 10 (TIWN): Keeping in view the upcoming AMC & Nagar Panchayat Election, state PCC held meeting at Congress Bhawan here in Agartala on Friday.
State Congress President Birajit Sinha, Cong. leader Sudip Roy Burman, MLA Gopal Roy, Cong. working president Ashish Saha was present during the meeting.
According to the sources, earlier in AMC election it was 35 seats, whether this time the parities will contest in total 49 seats, and opposition Cong. this time will focus how to conquer these seats. The meeting will be continued for 2 days, i.e., till Saturday.
Along with the discussion of AMC, the Nagar Panchayat election will be kept in mind, said Cong. All the members, councilors of every ward were present during the meet.
Not only the wards of Agartala, but all the wards state-wide has to be focused this time, said State Cong. President Birajit Sinha. “How to reach out all levels of people including poor people, Cong. has to be concern about this, said Sinha.
The demands of poor people, deprived people has to be dug out, added Sinha. He also said, Cong. must be much more active than earlier so that this time they can fight in election with a well performance.
Most importantly, new members from Youth Cong. will be introduced this time, said Cong leaders in the first day of the meeting.
