AGARTALA, July 26 (TIWN): In wake of the clash between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state activists and the ruling CPI-M baked Student Federation of India (SFI) occurred at Dharmanagar the BJP state President Sudhindra Das Gupta on Saturday slamming the CPI-M cadres claimed, “Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is the kingpin of terror and nuisance being carried by the ruling CPI-M and its wings.”

Condemning the incident occurred on July 23 at Dharmanagar Degree College where at least five BJP activists were seriously injured by the SFI cadres Das Gupta demanded the college principal to withdraw the FIR lodged against the BJP supporters. He said acting on behest of the CPI-M and the SFI the college principal in-charge had made a false FIR against the BJP.

However, after the incident two separate FIR was lodged with the police station by the College Principal and SFI against BJP.

“On due interference of the college principal the incident took place where several BJP activists were injured and were admitted to hospital in critical condition,” Das Gupta claims.

Besides, slamming the Dharmanagar SDPO he said the police officer had planned to barricade the BJP activists and intentionally he paved the way to the incident. “We demand the principal to immediately withdraw the FIR lodged against the BJP,” he said.

He briefed that the altercation broke out when SFI activists thrashed one college student after he refused to accept SFI membership. Enraged by this, the BJP Yuva Morcha gathered on the spot in protest and met the college principal.

But, this has brought no solution to the trouble being triggered by the SFI members as the college principal later acting on behest had again paved a way to the clash, he said.

“Police did not allow us to move as they (SFI members) pelted bricks on us. In this the BJP Yuba Morch’s state secretary Shubhrajit Bhaumik got head injury and he has been referred from Dharmanagar to Agartala,” said Das Gupta. He said that the Communist Party does not want to see any other party active in the state.

He also said that keeping in view that the BJP is the main opposition and the only enemy of the Communist Party here in Tripura the CPI-M is greatly involved creating terror in the state and stage a malicious campaign against the BJP.

“And I must say that Manik Sarkar is the kingpin of such terror related incidents which has stand tall no in Tripura against the BJP,” claimed Das Gupta.

Accusing the CPI-M and its Lefty front government he said that for the last couple of years the CPI-M has been attacking the BJP and it started from three tier panchayat election and continued till today.
