AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): Being asked about the reason behind every election’s failure in all over the state, as well the hope for the upcoming 2018’s assembly election for Tripura Cong. 3 opposition MLAs shared their views with TIWN. Agreeing that Cong. “lacks unity” among own party members, leaders confirmed that Cong. would definitely overcome from this stage.

S.R. Barman: “The division within congress is made by CPI-M mastermind Manik Sarker”, says opposition MLA Sudip Roy Barman to TIWN. “It’s a democratic society where anyone can make appetizing promises and the left front Govt. here does so.” Barman said. “Various fallacious promises are made by the ruling party to attract the mass to join CPI-M”, added Sudip.

But we would work for the benefits of people and like Gautam Kundu all the corrupted persons will be dug out one by one, and that is the motto of Cong.

However, asking about the possibilities for upcoming 2018 election, Barman replies, “still long way to go but we are very much hopeful that Cong. will bring a change within the state then.”

Ashish Saha: While talking to Ashish Saha, he totally agreed that Congress in Tripura is suffering from organizational weakness. Mentioning that Cong. is “not strong” rally, Saha told TIWN that the unity is very much important to make the state clean from all corruptions.

Whether UPA govt. gave 16 charge sheet programmes for development as MGNREGA, Indira Awas Yojana, Pension, allowances for widow, old and handicrafts everywhere people are deprived in state.

However, Saha accepted that the defeat on the part of congress, in the last assembly election, was really horrible. Cong. only got 1% out of 6% seats in 2013 election.

“To strengthen the party by the organizational level we will go further to fulfill the membership”, added Saha.

Pranajit Singha Roy: Udaipur R.K.Pur MLA Pranajit Singha Roy while talking to TIWN over phone said, “Congress have their own faults, still we are trying to unite the Congress members more and more, because we have to stay with the common people and to protest,  otherwise corruptions will never end.”

Here Singha mentioned detailing about their Delhi march, “It’s more important to continue the protest against corruption than to win in elections. If we stop screaming against the ruling govt. then there is no need of any opposition party.”
