Looting of Govt’s money continue in the name of Fishery at Kailashahar
TIWN

KAILASHAHAR, July 8 (TIWN): A four members’ team from Srinathpur Gram Panchayat has placed a memorandum to the DM Mrinal Kanti Nath against the same Panchayat’s Pradhan Aleya Begam and Panchayat sachib Bijendra Bhattacharjee alleging their chief involvement in various corruptions related to subdivision’s fishery and other govt. projects.

With this memorandum, many duplicities have been revealed, especially the huge embezzlement of money which was sanctioned in the year 2014-15 for fishing cultivation. A hefty amount of money had been sanctioned to make and produce fishes in 103 number of water bodies, but only 48 water-bodies for fishing cultivation had been made, whereas others were old ponds. But showing the old ponds as newly made water-bodies, large amount of moneys are grabbing by a section of people.

Reportedly, only few selective persons or group of people have been enjoying the govt.’s money in this regard. Thus following the RIT Act these four members’ team placed this memorandum by adding each and every details of all the mischievous involved in the case. Their memorandum has detailed how from   a long time in the tag of “Fishing-Cultivation” moneys are being looted, before the eyes of Panchayat Pradhan.

As per the sanctioned money, in total of 103 ponds had to be maintained but; only 48 ponds was only made. For each and every ponds Rs. 94,000/- has come whereas very little amount has been utilized and the rest amount have been distributed to the “close persons” of the Panchayat Sachib.

Reportedly, 3 separate persons’ bank accounts were filled by govt’s money though they belong to a same family. As per law, a single person from any family can receive the Govt.’s money for the production of fishes. But not more than 1 person would be involved in fishery with this Govt.’s money. But in Ward no. 5 from a single family 3 persons are receiving money for their fishing cultivation. These persons are Sumu Begam, Kotu Mia, Kuitta Mia.

In ward no. 5, again another person namely Ishub Ali was enjoying double fisheries, whereas according to the rules a  person can only have a single fishery farm. The sanction orders, through which Isub Ali received those huge amounts are 3427/FR/12849 and 3027/FR/13942.

A copy of the memorandum has been sent to the Chief Minister also. The four members who placed the memorandum are 1 from CPI-M Hasba Begam, 1 from Congress Siraj Begam and 2 are Independent members Rasmat Ali and Mujit Ali.

Jella Congress Shabhadipati Bavaru Jamman while talking to TIWN over phone said that the matter has already taken to all high level officials, now they will wait only few days, then they will go to the HC.
