BELONIA, July 7 (TIWN): Belonia Women police sent 3 accused to Belonia SDJM court on Tuesday afternoon in allegation of brutally beating a middle aged woman after tying her with a lamp post at Belonia Nagar Panchayat area on Monday night.

The victim is identified as Sandhya Barua Das, mother of 12 years old son.

Reportedly, on Monday afternoon the accused Sumitra Datta along with few other gangs of women brutally beaten up Sandhya Barua Das twice, after tying her with a lamp-post in allegation of having an illicit relationship with Rajiv Datta, the husband of Sumitra data.

According to the neighbors, taking the advantage of an empty house, the victim Sandhya Barua Das was undergoing illicit relationship with Rajiv Datta for last many days as her husband was settled outside the state for working purpose and frequently comes to his house.

Concerning the extra-marital affair between Sandhya Barua Das and Rajiv Datta, frequent miffs occurred between Sandhya Barua Das and Sumitra Datta.

However, finally on Monday a quarrel broke between the ladies and the accused Sumitra Datta along with the gang of her ladies thronged to the house of the victim and dragged her out of the house, further tied her with the lamp-post and cruelly beaten her up and left her seriously injured.

Further getting alarm the Belonia Women Police reached the spot and rescued her from the hands of the ladies and rushed her to Belonia hospital. After preliminary treatment the accused was sent back to her father’s house and interestingly Belonia Women police official suggested her not to register any case as it will hamper the reputation of the women.

Later, within a few hours of the shocking incident, the victim was again beaten up by Sumitra Datta for informing the entire incident to the police and left her with critical injuries in her body. 

Raising voice against the accused Sumitra Datta and the gang of other women the victim has lodged complaint with Belonia women police station on Monday late night.

After primary investigation police on Tuesday morning arrested the 3 accused identified as Sumitra Das, Khuku Rani Das, and Archana Das from their houses and has produced them before Belonia SDJM court on Tuesday.

However, police is further investigating the case for arresting the rest of the accused person related to the heinous crime.
