Education system conserves “No progress” in rural Tripura

AMARPUR, July 7 (TIWN): The students of Khalishamura Junior Basic School, under Lalgiri Gram Panchayat of Amarpur Sub-division is depriving from basic minimum infrastructure since its establishment in 1962.

Besides, an HM only 3 teachers are employed for 50 students at presently studying in this school. After implementation of Right to Education Act, students of this school have been sitting on the floor, as the maximum class rooms lack benches. Moreover, the classes are suffering from roof-less conditions, which hampering the classes to a great extent.

The problem doesn’t end here. Along with sitting benches, there is no access of drinking water, electricity and sanitary system in the school.

The teachers claimed even after approaching higher authorities many a times the situation remained unchanged.

The villagers alleged Jagadish Chandra Roy, the HM of school often comes to the school in drunken condition and most of the times he remains absent from the school.
