AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): In view of the stern demand of ‘resignation’ of the CPI-M MLA Keshab Debbarma who was found to have adopted fake educational degree during the 2008 and 2013 Lok sabha election just like the Comunist Party of India demanding for the ‘resignation’ of Delhi Union Minister for HRD Smriti Irani over her fake degree, the CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar on Tuesday said ‘NO’ to the resignation of Keshab Debbarma. The congress unearthing the fake degree row of the Debbarma recently called the CPI-M playing ‘Double-standard politics in the country’.

Dhar on Tuesday denying the fake educational degree of MLA Keshab Debbarma said, “Question does not arise by any means for Keshab to resign from his membership.” He also said, “There is no use of making the water dirty now as Keshab had already rectified his mistake by putting the second affidavit to the Election Commission of India.”

The congress claimed, “Golaghati constituency CPI-M MLA Keshab Debbarma has furnished differing educational qualifications in two state-wide election affidavits. The affidavits mentioned that during the year 2008 CPI-M MLA Keshab Debbarmahad appeared for Madhyamik Examinations under the TBSE in 1992 whereas in the year 2013 Debbarma again mentioned in the affidavit that he had passed the Madhyamik examination during the year 1989 under the state board.”

However, the fake degree row here in Tripura has recently received a very mixed response and had brought the ruling CPI-M here under scanner as the same CPI-M has been demanding for the resignation of Smriti Irani at Delhi over the same issue.

Besides, it is worthy to mention here that the congress being empowered by the Election Commission of India (ECI) is preparing to move to the High Court against CPI-M MLA Keshab Debbarma which might bring a major turning point for the CPI-M now.

Opposition Leader Sudip Roy Barman said, “We are preparing the files and documents to move to the High Court to disqualify Keshab Debbarma.”

What makes the growth story more interesting is the non-matriculated CPI-M MLA Keshab Debbarma after being accused for his fake educational degree had attempted to file an affidavit using the power of some judicial officers and notary public, which the opposition congress leader Sudip Roy Barman termed the attempt to be another death trap for Keshab which he himself had dig.

Barman recently unearthed another surprising issue saying, “The non-matriculated after being accused for his fake degree had collected back-dated non-judicial stamp paper from the Bishalgarh court to file an affidavit and had tried to use the power of some judicial officers and the notary public.”

However, the fake degree row here in Tripura after Delhi Smriti Irani has of course brought another embarrassment for the CPI-M party which the party had never thought of and managed to lead Keshab contest the two lok sabha election from Tripura as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA). Under pressure communist party which plays a ‘double standard politics’ got to take the inspiration from the Delhi Smriti Irani where the same communist party has been demanding for her resignation.
