AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): The 4 accused persons of Kalpana Das murder case including suspended CPI-M leader Jiten Das would be produced before the court again on April 24 with the deck ready to bring the real entity of the police investigation to the case. Besides, according to the highly placed source from police it was revealed that detained blue eyed Jiten Das has been puzzling the police making irrelevant statements in different time. On a telephonic conversation with TIWN on Thursday a highly placed source of police said that recently police is interrogating another suspect of the case Shibu Das during several phases, but no major clues could be brought from her. The source also said that besides, after the 4 accused persons are produced before the court on April 24, the real entity of the case would be brought up because as of now the detained Jiten Das has puzzled the police making several irrelevant statements. It is worthy to be mentioned here that recently the police investigating agency that has been newly constituted has verified the call lists of Jiten Das and has conducted several interrogations following this.

Blue eyed Jiten who is the mastermind of the Kalpana Das murder incident has recently remaining back track from his early statement said to police “I have not stated that my wife had committed suicide”, said Police source. However, police had already collected the statement of Jiten Das made to media persons earlier.Police is also verifying all the calls lists of Jiten’s mobile phone. Besides, the suspect of the case Shibu Das has not yet been arrested by the police, but the interrogation is in progress at Agartala Women PS, said the source.However most surprisingly, though police is investigating the case with full swing but the motive behind the murder of Kalpana Das could not be known as of today.

However, the accused persons including Jiten Das and his two brothers Satindra and Atindra and nephew Sidhartha Das who were arrested on April 16 evening are undergoing custodial trial at New Capital Complex Police Station and West Agartala Police Station and would be again produced before the court on April 24.

It is worthy to be mentioned here that according to the source, earlier Jitens’ younger brother Satindra Das disclosed some evidences with the police during the interrogation. Besides, after the arrest of the accused Jiten Das and others Police remained mum in regard of their investigation and often remains backtrack from stating anything related to the development of the case.
