AGARTALA, March 26 (TIWN): Rose Valley Chief Goutam Kundu finally is arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with its probe in the ponzi scam allegedly perpetrated by these consortium of companies on Wednesday evening. On the other hand, the arrest of the Rose Valley Chief has ended the sweet dreams of the heavyweight ministers and MLAs of both the CPIM Government and the opposition. The Rose Valley issue again pushed the State Government in the backdrop and involvement of its Ministers, leaders. There is a speculation among section of people that now ED, CBI will extend their hand to Agartala and Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Minister Bijita Nath (a former Rose Valley agent) and other heavy weight leaders will come under their scanner. Enforcement Directorate (ED) is apprehending that a scam allegedly involving another chit fund firm, Rose Valley, may turn out to be a bigger scandal than Saradha. And the rose valley chief Goutam Kundu might be all set to divulge details of the Tripura CPI (M) and other political leaders towards the patronage of Rose valley business in the state.

It is to be mentioned here that Rose valley chief Goutam Kundu’s custody probably can reveal how the Rose valley  has cheated the common mass with the helping hand of the CPI (M) and the political leaders of the state. 

3 weeks back on March 4 at 7.30 am, CBI had conducted raid on Rose valley voice and a large number of documents from its state headquarters in Agartala. The CBI also raided the houses of Rose Valley's board of directors and head of Allahabad operations Aniruddha Gupta in Banamalipur. They also raided the homes of top fund collection agents Chandan Debnath, Narayan Das, Ashok Saha and Sekhar. Rose Valley had collected more than Rs 500 crore from Tripura so far. But after maturity, thousands of depositors are not getting their returns. Now the future will reveal what is going to be written in the fate of the so called Mr. Clean Manik Sarkar and His associates.
