AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha laid the foundation stone for a fifty-bedded CHC in Agartala, near Jackson gate, stating that this will relieve other busy hospitals like IGM by reducing the patients’ load. “The hospital will be completed in six months and necessary modifications will be made to the building for the sake of health infrastructure improvement,” said CM. “Health service is our government’s priority".

"You must have observed how we started meals at Rs. 10 at GB hospital and now planning to construct a shelter house for the patients who come from outside. So this Government is really very sensitive to the public needs," CM said.

IAS Sailesh Kumar Yadav, IAS Kiran Gitte, Mayor Dipak Majumder also accompanied the chief minister during the visit.

CM laid foundation stone for a 50-Bedded Urban CHC at Jackson Gate, Agartala.

The hospital, once starts functioning, will operate from morning 8 AM to evening 8 PM.

“In emergency cases like accidents, atrocity, the hospital will definitely provide emergency services,” said CM. “This hospital is dedicated to the residents of Agartala, as well to the whole state of Tripura.”

“This is another major step towards PM Modi’s vision of Vikashit Bharat. The way the prime minister is thinking about the nation’s growth, we must be thankful to him,” said CM.

The hospital is being installed in the Labor Dept office which was recently shifted to another building in the city.
