KAILASHAHAR, April 2 (TIWN): Kailashahar police seized bundles of cigarettes which was kept near India-Bangladesh fencing. “This cigarette is popularly known as Burmis-cigarette,” said the on-duty cop Sukanta Sen Chowdhury. “We came to know about the packets from a secret source. It was informed that the packets could be found in the Rangamura border fencing line forest area.” SI Asish Pal rushed to the spot and recovered three packets of such cigarettes. The packets were labelled with ORIS-logo like marks. Oris is a popular Switzerland-manufactured watch company. There is another Oris labeled cigarette selling brand, which mostly targets Chinese consumers. However, it’s not known, if the recovered cigarette is from this one. Police have seized all the packets.
However, nobody could be arrested in connection to the case.
