AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha while addressing at 35th Industries and Commerce Fair said, Tripura positions on second in the entire Northeast for its per capita income. “There will be an investors fair very soon. I have met many investors recently. The investors are now showing their interest in investing in Tripura,” said CM. “We have fruit productions like pineapples, jackfruit, and other crops --- if we attempt to invest our interest and take these productions ahead, it would be beneficial.”
“It will give both employment and social growth,” said CM.
“Just look at the Self Help Group and how they are working across the state. What was the situation before 2018 ? There were only over 4,000 SHG before 2018 and now 56,000 SHG are active. Around 4.5 lakh women are involved in SHGs” Dr. Saha said.
“Crores of rupees we have provided to them in loans and their products have been on sale, which we witnessed during Saras fair. Now, they are given training to improve their products but such thinking did not exist earlier,” he added.
CM said, when he visited Mumbai, he told Mr. Ambani to invest in Tripura’s Agar-woods.
