AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): It is now two years of no TET exam in the state Tripura led the TET-qualified unemployed youth to raise their voices for their survival on Monday, placing a deputation to the Education Department demanding immediate notification-publication for TET, STPGT, STGT examinations. Talking to media, a job aspirant said, “We have been waiting for over two-years for recruitment and the government is not releasing any notification. Our ages are increasing. Our lives are getting ruined !”

“We just want the Government to release the notifications for TET exams,” said a job-seeker at the Shiksha Bhawan.

The deputation was placed by ‘All Tripura B.Ed, D.El.Ed Unemployed Youth forum to TRBT chairman Pratyush Ranjan Deb.

“It’s now two years after 2022, no TET notification, no STGT/STPGT exams were taken. The numbers of B.ed, D.El.Ed passed out candidates are increasing. Whereas annually two-year TET exams should be held, no such exams were taken in last two years,” another agitating youth said.

“Many youth took loans for B.Ed. It was said earlier that once the B.ed training is completed, they would get jobs and can cover their loans,” he said referring to how Tripura Government offered education loans through banks to B.Ed students.

“Unemployed youths are reeling under frustrations. We are forced to place the deputation to TRBT chairman as we never received responses after writing letters to CM,” said the job aspirant.

A sit-in-demonstration was staged in front of the TRBT Shiksha Bhawan by the job aspirants.
