AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): Amid the ongoing heated exchanges of words between Tripura BJP leaders and CPI-M over the Bangladesh issue, where BJP leaders tried to accuse the opposition of being silent on the Bangladesh issue, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury finds assistance in West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s remark on her “full support” to Central Government on its decisions on Bangladesh crisis.
The statement came after CM Dr. Manik Saha and another cabinet minister accused the opposition of being silent on the Bangladesh issue and in repose opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury said, “We condemn any humanitarian crisis and not selective on victims’ identities. We do not seek human’s identity if they are Jamat or whatever.”
He also said, “People (BJP) who attack minorities in India often, have no right to talk for Bangladeshi minorities.”
Reacting to the all chaos, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury responding to a journalist's query on it, said, what is happening in Bangladesh is undeniable and also said, the opposition here can take a lesson from Mamata Banerjee who gave her fully support to the central government.
