New Delhi, Aug 15 (TIWN): India’s opposition leader whose constitutional position very supreme and weights like a cabinet minister, was allocated with a back-seat, that cornered him at the fifth row. The pictures sparked reactions. However, Congress party although slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this incident but said, it does not matter to Rahul Gandhi because he is a ‘mass leader’.

Supriya Shrinate, Congress spokesperson said, “Narendra Modi has shown his narrow mindset but it does not affect Rahul Gandhi regardless he sits in 5th or 50th row. But it shows the government has no respect for the opposition. It is fact that an opposition leader gets the equal honor as a cabinet minister but the cabinet ministers were given the first rows but Rahul Gandhi was not.”

“A foolish statement came from the Defence Ministry claiming government was honoring the Olympians. The government should honour the Olympians but why JP Nadda ji, Amit Saha ji, Nirmala Sitharaman ji did not honor the Olympians (as they were sitting in the first rows),” said Shrinate.
