KHOWAI / AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Shortages of teachers, no headmaster and lack of basic facilities within the school premises forced the Chebri Class-12 school students in Khowai to lock their school. The protest began at around noon when students locked the main gate with their various demands.
Out of many demands, students said, they need more numbers and teachers and a headmaster immediately in their school.
There are other problems inside the school, for example - lack of fan, proper infrastructure in the classroom, electricity problems.
After the protest erupted, the Inspector of School and a few other officials rushed to the school and talked to the students. At last, after talking to the guardians, and assuring the students’ problems would be solved, normalcy within the school was resumed.
