Agartala, Jan 28 (TIWN): Ruling CPI(M) Tripura government keeping in view of the party state conference and party congress not only changed the previously schedule date for budget session but they are now planning to cut down business days drastically .

According to legislative assembly sources,  the budget session will commence from 6 February which the government planning  to   end the session by 22nd February.

Chief minister Manik Sarkar government  already set a record for having shortest duration of budget session in the history of Tripura. Now the government is in mood  to  break the existing record. CPI (M) is also taking advantage of the weak opposition in the assembly with only 10 MLAs in the sixty assembly seats, besides there is lack of unity among the opposition MLAs. The  timing and duration of  assembly session is decided as wished by Sarkar’s government.
According to report the CPI(M) state level conference would held on fourth week of February next and party congress in first week of March. The state  government is in hurry to wind up the budget session in shortest duration of time yet again proving their accountability  towards the CPI(M) party neither towards the government or people of the state. Even though, the financial year   will end on 31st March but the government is trying to complete the budget session by third week of February.
It is mentionable here that the  budget session would commence from 6th February with governor address, annual budget for year 2014 -15 and  other important bills likely to be in the house. The Business Advsiory Committee (BAC) meeting  would held on 3rd February to decide the duration of the budget session.
