AGARTALA, Sep 30 (TIWN): Tipra Motha party has called a 12 hours strike in ADC areas demanding Greater Tipraland. However, the strike has caused a mixed response in the ADC areas, although Railway services, and vehicle services were hampered due to the strike. So far the strike remained peaceful, with Tripura Govt also had strengthened the security as Govt offices were functional like everyday.
Tipra Motha leaders said the aim behind the strike is to spread the message to the Central Govt about Tiprasa’s demands along with greater Tipraland demand.
“Our party chief Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Manikya has been talking to Home Minister Amit Shah about Greater Tipraland but we want fulfilment of our demands at the earliest. We urge the Cental Govt to fulfill our demands without any delay”, said a Tipra Motha leader at Mungiakami, who had blocked the road there.
