AGARTALA, Jan 31 (TIWN): Amid the ongoing resignation row in BJP ahead of State Assembly Poll which is going to be held on 16th February, Tripura BJP Chief Minister Manik Saha on Tuesday said that it will not be a major factor.

CM was asked about the resignation of BJP MLA Dr Atul Debbarma and whether it will be an affect on BJP’s vote banks in 2023 poll.

In reply, CM Saha told media that such things happen but may not be affecting the vote shares of the BJP.

Saha further said, as everyone can not be given everything at a time, so there must have some reasons why Atul Debbarma did not get tickets.

On Monday, BJP MLA Dr Atul Debbarma resigned from BJP and submitted nomination as an independent candidate, accusing BJP party for cheating him and insulting him by not even talking to him. Debbarma also alleged, state president Rajib Bhattacharjee did not receive his phone call when he called him.
