AGARTALA, Aug 11 (TIWN): NSUI placed Deputation to the Education Director at the Shiksha Bhawan against Vidyajyoti Scheme as the Govt allegedly taking Rs 1,000 from the Govt forcefully.
NSUI opposing the Vidyajyoti Scheme held a protest today. NSUI leader Samrat Roy confronting media said, “In the name of Vidyajyoti Scheme Govt is taking Rs 1000 from Students, which should be cancelled immediately as many student having Poor background studying in the Schools. The Govt while coming into power assured that Govt will provide Free Education but now it has turned around, as Govt is taking Rs 1000 from students forcefully”.
NSUI demanded cancellation of Vidyajyoti Scheme immediately. It also raised the issue of dilapidated condition of the Education System with shortages of teachers in the schools which pushed the students to organize protests demanding teachers.
NSUI leader Samrat Roy stated that if their demands are not fulfilled by cancelling Vidyajyoti Scheme then they will go for massive protest in the coming days. He also alleged that loot has been going on in the Education Department and also is in the Health Sector.
