AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Voting started on Thursday for four poll constituencies of Tripura --- 1) 8-Town Bordowali, 2) 6-Agartala, 3) Surma, 4) Jubaraj Nagar. Though Election Commission assured a full free and fair poll, but mass rigging already started across the state. In Agartala’s various places yesterday night BJP workers terrorised the people and bombs were thrown whereas today at Santi Para, Agartala-6 constituency’s 55 number booth BJP workers stopped voters from coming out for voting. Journalist of Social Bangla TV channel Subham Debnath was brutally attacked by BJP goons, later taken to IGM hospital.

The attacked journalist said, the miscreants who attacked him were carrying weapons with them.

On being asked about poll rigging, CM candidate from Bordowali constituency Manik Saha refused for having any such report.

The rush of voters was also very low at starting voting hours. At Agartala 6 constituency voting was stopped in many booths as EVMs malfunctioned.
