AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): Chaos hit Tripura Assembly after opposition CPI-M Party MLAs demanded a discussion over the law and order situation in Tripura. As the Speaker refused to permit for the discussion, the opposition roared in the Assembly, later walking out. Coming out of the Assembly, the Opposition leader Manik Sarkar said that the police data over law and order is incorrect but the State Govt is desperate to display such manipulated data. Manik Sarkar said, "Basically, the Govt wants to hide its failure and all the fake promises given to the people of Tripura before Election could not be fulfilled and to hide the failure of the Govt, violence is taking place.
Sarkar further mentioned about the ongoing Section 144 is not valid as for Covid Section 144 is rarely implemented and also he rebuked the Govt for fixing Sep 27 as the next day of the Assembly day as it is expected that the Opposition Leader (Manik Sarkar) will be absent as he is the convener of the 27th September Strike.
