AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): Landslides in two separate places in Belonia killed one and injured two persons on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Narayan Bhowmik. The injured persons are Russell Mia (12) and Rahim Mia (11). The incident took place on Wednesday morning in Belonia North Sonaichhari Das Para area.

Reportedly, Narayan was sleeping in his room during the landslide and he was buried under the ground. After receiving the news, the fire fighter rushed to the spot and after two hours of digging with the help of local people Narayan’s lifeless body was recovered. Later his body was taken to Belonia Sub-divisional Hospital and after an autopsy his body was handed over to the family.

On the other hand in another separate landslide three houses went underground in Belonia. Rafiq Miah's two sons Russell Mia (12) and Rahim Mia (11) were injured in landslide. Later the fire brigade took the injured two minors to Belonia Hospital and both are currently undergoing treatments at Belonia Hospital.
