The arrested youths are identified as Ranjit Debbarma, Prosenjit Tripura and Ajit Tripura, all of them are from Taibandal area of ​​Sepahijla district. Police also seized a car bearing no TR07D0421, by which they were carrying the contraband items.

Based on a tip-off, police and 130th battalion BSF personnel detained the three youths along with their vehicle from the area adjacent to Rangamura Bridge. After interrogating the three arrested youths, they confessed that they were going to Sonamura in a car full of cannabis. About 50 kg of cannabis was recovered from the vehicle. Later, the BSF handed over the three youths, including a vehicle loaded with cannabis to the PR Bari police.
