AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): After a Closed-Door meeting among top indigenous leaders of the party, the BJP has announced that they are ready to fight in 28 seats out of 28 seats alone as its political ally IPFT is violating alliance protocols. BJP also has signaled that two IPFT Ministers who are holding the Cabinet might be dropped if IPFT continues enmity against the BJP and violates the alliance ethics. Slamming IPFT's confused poll-agenda and alignment with multiple parties without holding any talk with the BJP, MP Rebati Tripura asked media to wait till 7 PM Tuesday's meeting at Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman's residence and by that time, the final decision will be taken and then the decision will be announced.
IPFT reportedly sought 22 seats out of 28. BJP said that it is quite impossible when BJP is only weak at 3 to 4 seats. BJP MP Rebati Tripura further reminded IPFT how miserably it failed in Lok Sabha Election 2019 dropping at 4th position.
