AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): Although Education Minister Ratanlal Nath often hypes about NCERT syllabus implantation but how far, the Govt is following the guidelines, it is coming under question marks again and again. As per NCERT guidelines, physical instructors to be kept in schools but amid qualified aspirants, Tripura Govt is not recruiting physical education teachers, which has erupted resentments against the Govt.Amid massive unemployment problems, if Tripura Govt could recruit physical education teachers in a massive number it could help in reduction of unemployment problems.Also, it is alleged that in maximum schools, the physical education remained as a neglected subject.
On December 22, in protest, demanding recruitments B.PED holder candidates have gone to the Education office and placed a deputation to the Director of Education.
The job aspirants also asked Tripura Govt to recruit them as per PGT Scale as they are having their highest degrees as per needs including Masters Degree.
Also Tripura now has various CBSE schools, converted from TBSE and if Govt wants, it can recruit huge numbers of Physical Education teachers.
As per NCERT guidelines and CBSE norms, Physical Instructors / Physical Education teachers are mandatory in schools. In whole Tripura, many such unemployed youths have remained jobless but State Govt has not taken any initiative to recruit the unemployed youths in those vacant posts.
Also, there are demands of raising salaries of the physical education teachers as they are deprive of 7th pay commission to other things.
