AGARTALA, Aug 9 (TIWN): Tripura Youth Congress has staged protest with the slogan of ‘Rozgaar Daao’ here in Agartala. It is a part of nationwide protest.

All India Youth Congress Secretary Krishna Das also remained present on that occasion and raised slogan.

Condemning Govt’s failure to give employment, Das said, “In Tripura instead of employment, rapes are going on. That has been given by the Modi Govt”.

Tripura Youth Congress President Pujan Biswas said, “We are holding this protest across the nation. Under the Modi Govt, the unemployment rate has been highest than ever”.

“In Tripura, in the Vision Document, they promised about 50,000 Govt jobs in 1-Year and now the Chief Minister is asking youths to open Paan-shops or to Rear-cows. By such statements he has insulted the youths of Tripura who voted for the BJP”, said Pujan Biswas.

Congress also protested against 28% GST on medicine.

Today, Youth Congress is observing its foundation day and as a part of nationwide protest, this protest was also organized in Tripura.

The IYC national media in-charge Rahul Rao also slammed the government's move of demonetisation and faulty implementation of the GST and said, "First demonetisation, then the wrong implementation of GST and decisions like the unthoughtful lockdown by the Modi government ruined the country's economy." Rao said millions of youth are unemployed due to the inefficiency of the Modi government and its incapability to provide employment.

He said the IYC activists will organize sit-in demonstrations and agitations across the country raising the demands that posts lying vacant in various government departments should be filled immediately, privatization of railways and other government institutions should be stopped, financial help for the unemployed youth and curbs on posts being abolished in government departments.
