AGARTALA, Aug 1 (TIWN): It has crossed 29 months that the BJP was voted to power in Northeast state Tripura, promising house-to-house employment, filling up of 50,000 Govt jobs in 1 year. But after two and half years of passage, the Govt so far failed to fulfill that promise which was done to the 7 lakhs unemployed youths in the state. No cabinet meeting yet could resolve the matter, neither the State Govt has uttered a single word in clarification. Amid the verbal promises, BJP also had promised to give missed-call-based jobs led by the then BJP State Observer Sunil Deodhar but that promise is too suppressed. In this situation, the unemployed youths are undergoing massive frustrations with lack of enough Govt job opportunities in the State.
Data says, BJP Govt had only given 1377 jobs and terminated 5000 contractual employees whereas before 2018 5,000 jobs per year were given.Hence apart from data, unemployed youths are resented on the Govt as it has terminated contractual employees, dismissed all ongoing jobs. But before the election BJP promised to give 50000 Govt jobs per year.
Tripura has ranked second in the unemployment rate at 21.3% among the 28 states in India. According to Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy Pvt. Ltd (CMIE), it is Haryana which is having the highest unemployment rate at 33.6%, Tripura Second at 21.3 and Jharkhand is 21.0% that is the 3rd position.
