AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): IPFT during its successful strike in ADC on Thursday has declared that such protests across the ADC will be increasing day by day. “We will show the power of IPFT”, said IPFT MLA Bishwaketu Debbarma. In this situation, BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav is rushing to Tripura today and to hold sets of meetings. Yesterday’s massive strike was in protest against an IPFT worker’s arrest who has been claimed as “innocent” by IPFT and the party said, if the BJP continues to disturb the other parties and arrests, harassment of them, then the situation will be out of control. ADC Strike’s most bold statement by IPFT MLA Bishwaketu Debbarma was when he alleged a ‘lawless situation’ is going on in the state, curtailing the rights of MLAs and Ministers. “The MLAs, Ministers have no freedom. They are getting nothing from the Govt and nobody has any voice to speak. You ask the BJP MLAs. Everyone is upset. If the BJP thinks that by destroying IPFT it will continue to enjoy power, then BJP is doing mistake”, said Bishwaketu Debbarma.

On being asked by the media, what about BJP’s development in ADC, the MLA slammed BJP saying, BJP is doing nothing except “show off”. For votes, BJP can promise to give “Stars from the Sky”. “What BJP has done for the 10323 teachers ? All promises of BJP are same”, the MLA added.

IPFT has sought an aligned partnership in ADC election but as BJP is not recognizing IPFT as a strong party anymore, thus the tension increasing.
