AGARTALA, June 29 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has staged a massive protest on Monday, announcing more protests in coming days in voice against increasing fuel prices. On a cart, a bike with Modi’s cartoon picture was hanged and the workers of the Congress walked across the city raising Anti-Modi slogans. Talking to media, Congress President Pijush Biswas has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his loot regime by increasing fuel price hikes, whereas only 50 paisa rise in fuel earns Govt with Rs. 50,000 crores. “Due to PM Modi’s wrong economic policy, India’s economy is at down. Around 60% of the Indians do not have money to properly spend their lives. This percentage is not given by me but by international organizations. Now, when economy is at crisis, Modi Govt first had imposed GST at 27% taxes which continues and now he has imposed fuel charges at high ratesâ€, said Pijush Biswas.
“Oppositions are questioning the Govt continuously but not a single answer was given by him. Everyday fuel price is increasing, whereas the fuel price should be Rs. 30 highest. Earlier, in UPA era if international markets increase fuel price, then only it increased in India but now when at international level it is decreasing, fuel prices are increasing everyday. Only 50 paisa rise gives the Govt Rs. 50,000 Crores of profit and now one can imagine how Modi Govt is looting the country”, said Pijush Biswas.
