COVID-19 cases increased at 647 as more 25 people found COVID-19 positive : ‘All of them have travel history’

AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): COVID-19 Cases in Tripura on rise and there is hardly any day when COVID-19 cases are not freshly reported. In a tweet Chief Minister Biplab Deb said, “Today in Tripura 25 people found COVID-19 positive out of 875 samples tested. All of them have travel history”. Tripura’s COVID-19 cases have raised to 647 led the administration to go for new COVID-19 care centres. With the Coronavirus patients in rise in Tripura, a 150 bedded COVID-19 care centre has been opened in the International Fair ground in Hapania under Tripura Medical College (TMC) hospital. Today TIWN visited the care centre and talked to the team. Medical team is set with whole force, however, this centre to be fully dedicated for asymptomatic or light symptomatic patients.On the background of the COVID-19 care centre’s opening, Superintendent Arindam Dutta said, “As per Govt order, it had to be done and there are 500 bed capacity but for now 150 beds are ready and if patients increase, then numbers of beds also to be increased”.TMC Doctors under guidelines, will be taking care of the COVID-19 patients.

Tripura COVID-19 cases continues to rise with 647 persons so far tested positive and 173 were cured.A patient who was COVID-19 suspected committed suicide in GB hospital and after her death, she was tested positive.Also in Jail, Coronavirus outbreak was reported. An undertrial who was arrested a few days back in connection with drug smuggling, tested positive for COVID-19 in Tripura.
