AGARTALA, April 30 (TIWN): Tripura Govt to go strict now against outsiders’ entries in state, after the Tamil Nadu driver was tested positive who visited Tripura on 27th April up to Udaipur to drop 5 persons via ambulance. Minister Ratanlal Nath expressing resentment over the issue said that as much as possible other states' people must be restricted as the previous cases also were brought from outside. The Tamil Nadu driver’s sample was collected when he arrived and left on 28th April, but after he left, he was tested positive, led Health Dept to bring the people immediately in institutional quarantine. Although they were tested COVID19 Negative but kept in institutional quarantine, as it would be too early to decide the suspected persons’ status. With this, tasks of Health Dept increased to find out the people who met these 5 persons were in Home Quarantine before they brought in Institutional Quarantine.Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said that now Govt will be more strict against outsiders’ entry.
Till now 5 persons have been kept in institutional quarantine but all tested negative. But, for 14 days they will be in institutional quarantine before anything can be said surely.
Law Minister Ratanlal Nath also said that the infected person already left Tripura on 28th April after dropping 5 persons in Udaipur via ambulance on 27th April.
When samples were tested, today he was found positive. Total 7 persons were in this total journey and 5 from Tripura. 2 were drivers and 3 were from Udaipur and 2 from Baikhora. Everyone’s samples were collected but after the driver left Tripura (as his pass was till 28th April) he was tested positive. All 5 persons of Tripura are negative but for safety, they have been kept in quarantine. The 5 persons came to Tripura in a 5 days journey from Chennai via that ambulance.
“There are 14 days quarantine rule and after that only anything can be said about these 5 persons' health condition. Except the driver of Tamil Nadu, all are tested negative but we have to hold for more time to say anything confirmly. Govt to be strict against entries like this in coming days”, said Ratanlal Nath asking people not to be panicked.

He also requested everyone to be truthful to the State Govt and if anyone met these 5 persons during home quarantine, should tell the Govt but hiding the issues will be a crime.
