West Bengal announced Free ration for poor, Tripura Govt yet to announce any package

KOLKATA / AGARTALA, March 23 (TIWN): Govt of Tripura although has urged the people to continue lockdown but there is no special package announced for poor yet.

On the other side, West Bengal government has mandated a partial work-from-home system for its employees and introduced a relief package for 7.9 crore people who get subsidised rations.

However, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced that Govt will announce soon a 15 days or 1 month special package for the poor during the lockdown situation.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the State government will create a ₹200 crore fund to tackle the coronavirus outbreak on Monday. She also announced that all educational institutions will be closed till April 15.
