AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): Due to Corona-Virus outbreak, Tripura Govt on Monday has shutdown all schools, colleges further restricting all types of mass gathering, rallies and protests. Screening to be continued in terminals from Railways stations to Airport, Motorstands. Schoolwide today alerts were sounded, training was given to the students about "dos and don’ts". Addressing media, Ratanlal Nath said that people don’t have to be panicked but precautions are very important. With Corona-Virus outbreak globally, which recently has hit India a 20 bedded diagnostic centre has been organized in the IGM hospital, one of the top Govt hospitals in Tripura. Govt already said that treatment to be available in Hapania’s TMC Hospital and also in IGM hospital. IGM is the diagnostic centre in Tripura, which is one of the 52 diagnostic centres in India. The people who are coming form other countries where Corona-Virus outbreak reported or those who are in connection with others they will be kept in quarantine.

However, till now nobody was found infected with this disease. There will be District wise Diagnostic centres. 

7 days budget session will be started from March 20, said Law Minister Ratanlal Nath as the Tripura Assembly is scientific and 1 metre distance is there between each benches.

He said, if anything serious happens, then Govt will think whether to restrict the Assembly or not.

India has been evacuating its citizens from Covid-19-hit countries. “These evacuees are quarantined at the ITBP camp at Chhawla, as per protocol. In addition, the third batch of 236 evacuees from Iran has arrived today. They are being quarantined at the Army facility in Jaisalmer. They have already been tested prior to their departure from Iran. All are reported to be asymptomatic at present," the Union health ministry said. 

In the first two flight operations from Iran, the Indian government had evacuated 102 citizens.  A total 265 passengers from Covid-19-affected countries have been quarantined at Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.  Union minister of health and family welfare, Harsh Vardhan, on Sunday reviewed the status and the action taken by the states, and advised them to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in hospitals and adhere to all protocols for containment and management of Covid-19.
