AGARTALA, Feb 28 (TIWN): Behind the “Nesha Mukt Tripura” banner of Chief Minister Biplab Deb, BJP has continued its drug-smuggling empire and various BJP activists, leaders were found red-handed while handling smuggling runs. In each gap of few days, various BJP activists, close aids are being exposed in this smuggling racket. Specially in the Boxonagar, Sonamura area where BJP MP Pratima Bhowmik’s brother Biswajit Bhowmik’s properties, assets increased abnormally, who was accused by locals on camera as the kingpin of drug-den are the examples of how BJP is running the drug empire behind the safety mask of “Nesha Mukt Tripura”.

On yesterday in a shocking outcome Santana Chakma, Social Welfare Minister’s body guard Dilip Chakma and one TSR jawan of her escort Sanjeev Chakma were caught by State Police while smuggling contraband items like Heroine at a large quantity. 

One more official, total 3 persons were arrested in this drug-smuggling connection after they were caught red-handed. Huge numbers of boxes full of heroin were seized at Kanchanpur. Reportedly, 3 police officers with their team targeted the smugglers after being informed by sources.

Reportedly,SDPO Bikramjit Sukla Das, OC-Paritosh Das, Second Officer Shyma Prasad Das led the successive drive. Few of the seized items are as plastic packets containing 7.80 grams of heroin and total 149 bottles of 70 grams contraband items seized. 3 numbers of red plastic bottles and 5 numbers of yellow cap plastic bottles were too seized.

The arrested persons are : 1) Sanjeeb Kumar Chakma (30), S/O-Baneswar Chakma of Kanchanpur, 2)Narottom Chakma (33), S/O-Nakul Chandra Chakma of Rabindra Nagar, 3) Dilip Kumar Chakma, S/O-Krishnapada Chakma, of Shibnagar.

Among them Dilip Kumar Chakma is the PG to the Minister of Social Welfare Dept Santana Chakma.

Thus it can be said that BJP’s Nesha Mukt Tripura rattled, exposed with Tripura Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma’s body guards caught while smuggling Heroin In the name of “Nesha Mukt Tripura” how BJP backed figures are neck-deep with smuggling related crimes have once again exposed.

When Chief Minister Biplab Deb is preaching Nesha-Mukti abhiyaan, his party cadres, specially to leaders are engaged in narcotic business.

Earlier West Tripura MP Pratima Bhowmik’s name was accused by many top BJP figures whereas her brother  Biswajit Bhowmik is known as Boxonagar smuggler Don whose name came in media report recently after a police officer was killed in state.

Recently, Boxonagar’s BJP leader Uttam Barman’s home was raided by police and Rs. 10 lakhs of ganja were recovered.But, surprisingly, Uttam Barman was not arrested by police yet. His wife Anjana Barman is also member of Boxonagar block SC-Sub Committee.Moreover, in Kalamchara PS, no NDPS case was filed by police due to a mysterious reason. One more accused person’s name has come out in media report as Drug smuggler named Debabrata Bhattacharjee, of Sepahijala District. This name is not new but more people’s names are alleged along with MP Pratima Bhowmik and her smuggler brother Biswajit Bhowmik who allegedly directly or indirectly killed Police officer Durga Chandra Hrangkhawal.

In one line, it can be said that Drug empire of BJP has turned the state a narcotic den, under the Nesha-Mukt-Abhiyan of CM Biplab Deb. 

Women are equally in narcotic smuggling competition with the men. Local newspapers have accused BJP woman leader Soma's son Tanay as drug-smuggler.

Very recently, two drug smugglers were arrested by East Agartala PS, whereas local people of Nathpara in Chandrapur reportedly said that total 3 persons were handed-over to police but police were trying to save Soma's son Tanay. Allegedly police under huge pressure and not taking action against Tanay. Moreover, it took 3 hours for police to reach East Agartala PS from Nathpara and in the middle she took her son from the vehicle. The two drug smugglers who were arrested by East Agartala Police after getting information from local sources with around 250 yaba tablets were detained from Chandrapur, Agartala. Police informed that the local people first caught them and kept them detained, handed-over to police. The two drug smugglers are Priyotosh Biwas, Suman Sarkar.  But local newspaper reports and also local people alleged they handed-over 3 persons but only two were shown arrested. 

Even after brutal murder of colleague Durga Chandra Hrangkhawl, Tripura Police has miserably failed to arrest the main kingpin in the murder case, opposition to media report although hinted chief involvement of ruling party leaders in that case.Infact ex-DGP A K Sukla himself mentioned about the brutality of the murderer and promised no one will be pardoned.Congress earlier has demanded CBI investigation in Police officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawl murder case.Police said that 3 persons were arrested in this connection Ishak Miah and two noted drug smugglers, Idrish Miah of Sonamura and Abu Khayer of Jatrapur and the 3rd name could not be revealed but the prime accused in the brutal murder of the police officer are still at large.So far no press briefing was given by the Police Headquarter.

In 2019, November, 3 Phensedyl smuggling convoy circled honest police officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawl and murdered him by overrunning vehicle over slain officer. The incident took place at Sonamura-Boxonagar road at around 11.30 pm when on being informed via secret sources Karamchara Police led by Durga Chardra Hrangkhawl rushed to the spot and chased the vehicle. At first a Swift car rushed over the police official whereas more vehicles came behind it.  These phensedyl carrying vehicle has killed  the police officer was a sub-inspector appointed in Karamchara PS named Durga Chardra Hrangkhawl.
