AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): BJP’s Vision Document laid promises are on real test now as the 10323 teachers have started protesting against BJP’s pre-poll fake promises, seeking justice for them. Hoisting the protest at Agartala City Centre, the 10323 teachers said, “We are not here to do politics, but we want to finish our protest today itself if the Govt can solve our problems. We do not demand to be in teaching posts but the 13000 non-teaching posts which were created for us should be filled up”. Reacting over Education Minister Ratanlal Nath’s statement over the lapse of 13000 posts, the teachers said an Assembly Decision can reapprove the posts again and there is no legal boundary as Supreme Court of India has already withdrawn the stay order.

10323 teachers also have rubbished Education Minister Ratanlal Nath’s all statements about 10323 teachers saying, a Minister’s personal statement can’t be considered as Cabinet decision or Govt decision.

The teachers said, around 8000 teachers among 10323 teachers are now in total numbers (many got other jobs, around 50 died). Thus, that recruitment will help the unemployed and also contractual employees as SSA.

The teachers also have slammed the then opposition party (BJP) without taking name accusing them for doing intrigue to stop 13000 posts recruitment.

10323 teachers have sat in protest at City Centre, Agartala. The teachers said that they didn’t want to sit in protest and hoping that this will be their last protest and Govt will take care of their pending issues and demands.

Amulaya Debbarma, one of the 10323 teachers said that there are lots of press conferences have done by Education Minister Ratanlal Nath but he never put any comment about 10323 teachers and without cabinet decision, his personal statements can’t be valued.

Also jobs for the family members of 10323 teachers who passes away were demanded. The teachers explained how in starvation, those 50 teachers’ families are now living.

“It is Govt’s duty to help the teachers families. Those families are today starving without food. Govt must provide die-in-harness jobs to the family members immediately”, said 10323 teachers.

10323 teachers lost their jobs first in High Court, then in Supreme after courts found irregularities in their job recruitments. BJP before election promised the teachers to solve their problems  by changing a “portion” of the Education law only for Tripura. In this situation, the victimized teachers are yet hopeful on the Govt.
