AGARTALA, Dec 30 (TIWN): On Monday evening, few miscreants broke down the Martyr’s dais along with other arrangements of SFI’s 50th foundation day celebrations which held at the Paradise Chowmani area of the city on Monday morning.

30 Dec was celebrated by SFI as its 50th Foundation day amidst several programs among which in the morning they paid tribute to the Martyrs, remembering their struggle at the heart of the City.

Later a gathering was organised at the Sukanta Academy in the evening. While returning from the same to collect necessary items, the SFI workers found all the arrangements had been broken down.

On this SFI State Secretary Sandipan Deb said, “We don’t know who has done all this, but we demand the administration to find out the culprits behind and punish them according to law”.

He also added, undemocratic situation prevailing in the state, where people have no democratic right to protest or put forward their views.
