AGARTALA, Dec 7 (TIWN): As from the very beginning regional parties remained totally against Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), thus as expected once again tension erupted after all regional parties in a joint movement called for Tripura Strike for unknown period of time. Last time, during Citizenship Amendment Bill’s protest led by NESO, Home Dept displayed total immaturity after police held firing on young NESO agitators. Law and Order is already trembling in Tripura as recently multiple political rallies of various parties were stopped showing law and order problem shown by state Police. However, the joint movement strike has assured to hold peace and the protests to be held in total democratic manner. On the other side, today, BJP’s ally IPFT Party has opposed the Citizenship Amendment Bill across Tripura, not only in the ADC.Congress, CPI-M too have opposed Citizenship Amendment Bill’s implementation in Tripura.

Addressing media, IPFT leader Mangal Debbarma said that in their recent Delhi visit, IPFT Party has totally opposed the CAB’s implementation in Tripura and also in memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister Tipraland was demanded.

Royal Scion Pradyot Manikya’s statement : Reacting against public fingers at regional parties even IPFT, Royal scion Pradyot Debbarman asked them further, why only IPFT and regional parties and independent leaders are blamed but not MLAs, MP of BJP’s Tiprasa.

“Everyone is asking me to do something. We all are working in our best and we pressurized the Central Govt to keep ADC out of that CAB and Centre also agreed but that is not enough for us”, Pradyot said.

“I totally disagree with CAB. I think it will go against Govt’s in the Supreme Court also. IPFT is opposing too, but my question is, there are 10 MLAs in the BJP who are Tiprasa. One MP we have. They did not speak a single word against it. Whether they are supporting it or not, ask them too”, said Pradyot Debbarman.

“In all states, MLAs opposed CAB but only Tripura MLAs are silent”, he added.
