AGARTALA, Oct 18 (TIWN): On camera raids in CPI-M Melarmath party office in a way has given mass teaching about law centering “Police raid” and how to deal with “Police Raids”.

First of all, without warrant there is no right of the police to enter in a house and if shown, don’t forget to take a picture of that warrant copy so that you can discuss with lawyer later. Also confirm a written document from police before they leave if nothing is found.

During search-operation of Badal Choudhury at Melarmath headquarter, Police officers confirmed a law that police officials must offer them for checking before search operations, along with independent witnesses’ presence.

However, what the police violated in Melarmath and specially Daily Desher Katha newspaper office which claimed to have no connection with the party, police raided without search warrant but in case they had to submit written paper after search, saying like 'nothing was found’ or like that with details of the raid.

Most important, during searches, don’t forget to record the whole search operation in video.

Before Search Operation begins, police officials must be checked properly so that no part of intrigue can be played by the police.

Last but not the least is don’t forget to argue with police officials in raid about how many police officials will enter in search operations.

If police insists to violate law and try to impose unknown law-education, keep your mobile recording on and tell police, “We will not open the door but you come by force”.
