Tripura’s terminated 10323 teachers, who are appointed in Govt schools at ad-hoc basis under Supreme Court’s order are undergoing major tension as only 9 moths left that the teachers to lose their jobs.

The termination will affect a large number of school teachers in Tripura who were appointed by the Left Govt and terminated first by High Court in 2014 and then Supreme Court in 2017. The termination was due to irregularities in the appointments committed by the Left Govt.

State Govt on the ground of teachers’ crisis has successfully continued the 10323 teachers jobs on ad-hoc basis till June 2020 but as time is zooming towards end of ad-hoc’s final dismiss, tension have gripped the 10323 teachers.

Problem for the BJP Govt is due to BJP’s pre-poll promise to save 10323 teachers lives but till now Govt is failed to find any way for that.

According to Supreme Court’s order the 10323 tecahers of Tripura will lose their ad-hoc extension by 2020, June 31st. Since 2014, the terminated 10323 teachers have continued their battles for existence after Tripura High Court in 2014, 7th May terminated all the teachers spotting irregularities in recruitment. The situation started to be critical due to previous CPI-M Govt’s ego against petitioners and instead of providing them jobs according to High Court’s order, the Govt started the battle in Supreme Court and finally Supreme Court in 2017 held High Court’s decision. Now, this is the ultimate time when final decisions about 10323 teachers will be taken.

The current Govt is too undergoing tremendous pressure due to this issue as no solution came out so far. The teachers are now divided in two groups as the faction 10323 victimized Teachers also Association met Education Minister Ratanlal Nath, whereas the ad-hoc 10323 teachers placed deputation to CM. Teachers’ Association member Bimal Saha has called all 10323 teachers to join the mass deputation with them so that the movement get stronger.

The teachers said, they have already completed 10 years of their jobs but yet deprive of various benefits. 10323 teachers demanded about regularization according to Vision Document, 7th Pay Commission, die-in-harness jobs for the passed away 10323 teachers family members, EL, CL must be similar like others. The teachers have requested all teachers to join and not to be confused by anyone’s intrigue, urging them to be united forever.

Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said about 10323 that the matter is very critical as Supreme Court’s verdict means the highest Law but Govt will hold a meeting with Education Dept to find out the ways to save 10323 teachers’ lives. He also suggested 10323 teachers to contribute ideas how to solve their problems.

The 10323 teachers fist lost their jobs in High Court’s verdict in 2014 due to irregularities in recruitment. Then the previous CPI-M led State Sovt managed stay order on High Court’s order by appealing Supreme Court and after much delays in the hearings, finally Supreme Court also in 2017, March 29 terminated all the teachers but with humanitarian view Supreme Court permitted all the 10323 teachers to continue their jobs till December 31st, 2017.

When CPI-M led State Govt repealed in Supreme Court to extend their jobs for 1 year, Supreme Court extended the job for 6 months on ad hoc basis and finally only 27 days have left for the teachers final terminations. BJP Govt then appealed in Supreme Court to extend the teachers jobs beyond June 30, 2018 for more 2 years. BJP to urge Supreme Court to extend those teachers jobs till 2020, 30th June and SC also extended for 17 months to control the teachers’ crisis.
