AGARTALA, Aug 30 (TIWN): CPI-M on Friday has announced its candidate’s name for the upcoming by-election.

The party has selected woman as the candidate named Bulti Das. She is master-degree holder by qualification.

Addressing media, CPI-M convenor Bijan Dhar said that Bulti Das is having a very poor background and right now elected councilor.

“Before few days, BJP supporters tried to force her to resign but she fought back and this time also she has challenged BJP openly. We hope, people of this constituency will cast vote for her”, Bijan Dhar said.

Bijan Dhar also informed that both Bulti and her husband are unemployed and undergoing massive poverty.
