AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): While addressing in a seminar on urban work development at Agartala, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has pushed the officials and Panchayat / local body level members to work with full spirit to transform state Tripura into a model state.

 The Chief Minister said, when a person is determined to day anything, nobody can stop him/her but if a person doesn’t want to do works, then nothing can be done.

Deb said, “DM’s responsibility is beyond description. A Secretary can not hold all departments but a DM is responsible for all departments. When a DM helps the Panchayat level officials for developmental works, then villages can become model village”.

“Only 3 persons can run a whole office, but we human beings do not understand our capacities. However, when an official is under me, s/he has to work. No option to escape. If anyone thinks, whatever the order is s/he will not work, but surely will be caught in my eyes. Nobody can fool me”, said Deb.

He also cited example that PM Modi only sleeps 4 hours. 

Deb further pointed that in comparison to other states, Tripura has so many employees and thus there should not be any hurdle in works.

“Only degrees and Education can not make a person qualified but the “Joonun” (spirit) can capable him to do that”, the CM added.

Citing the changed work culture, Deb mentioned the same officers were working under the previous Govt but they were indulged in 2G, 3G scams but now only developments are happening under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that’s where the change is.

“I will work for 5 years at my best. Then if people want, they will bring me back and if my work is not satisfactory then they will unseat me. But I will be continuing my works in these 5 years. Tripura already has started to change in progressing with positive waves”, said Biplab Deb.
