Three day long Diwali Festival in Nutan Bazaar; More than 1 lakh people gather, Festival ends Saturday

NUTANBAZAR/AMARPUR, October 24 (TIWN): When the lakhs of people gathered in MataBari for the Diwali Festival, Nutan Bazaar too geared up for Diwali Celebration as the three day long Kali Puja was inaugurated on Thursday evening.

Every year more than one lakh people from different parts of the state and even from the neighbouring country Bangladesh gather in Nutan Bazaar during the Diwali Festival. This year too is no exception as more than 1 lakh people gathered on the very first day. It is to be mentioned here that Kali Puja on Diwali is the biggest festival of Nut an Bazaar and even Durga Puja too does not come near Diwali as far as the pomp and expenses are concerned. Bellow is the description of this year's Kali Puja celebration of  three renowned clubs of Nutan Bazaar:-

1) Youth Square:-  This is the oldest club formed in 1980s soon after the ethnic violence with an appeal for peace among different communities. This year is the 35th year of their Kali Puja and  the budget is Rs 8 lakh . The 70ft high pandal was constructed by Suruchi Decorator of Nabadweep, West Bengal. The idol of Kali was built by the clay artisan Narayan Pal of Melaghar.
2) Young Blood:- In the 32nd year celebration the theme of Young Blood is ' Society as a Mirror'. The budget is Rs 5.50lakh. The pandal has been built by the Kolkata Decorator of Krishnagar , West Bengal. The idol of Kali is built with more than one lakh pieces of broken glass. 
3) Yuva Samaj Welfare Society:- Yava Samaj has set up a budget of Rs 2.40lakh. It has been decided in the interest of the people living in this area. The 45ft pandal has been built by Loharam Ghosh of Nabadweep, West Bengal. Local artisan Rudra Pal made the idol of Kali. On the opening night artists of  Nataraj Natya Sangstha of Agartala presented 'Manab Murti' show. 
         Every night thousands people are expected to throng the pandals. And to entertain them organizers too are concentrating on various cultural activities. Up to latest report thousands of people are seen in the streets of Nutan Bazaar.
