AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): A strange situation has gripped Tripura in case of teachers’ appointment when unlike other states Tripura’s unemployed youths will get a special relaxation of B.Ed in TET examination. Lakhs of applicants thus are waiting to sit in the exam, erupted massive resentment among unemployed youths.When 1141 TET qualified job aspirants left jobless, Tripura Govt has told the Supreme Court and Central Govt that Tripura has lack of TET qualified teachers, managing special relaxation in recruitment process via TET. On the other side, Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath claimed that Tripura will become the role-model for quality education. Tripura will not follow any state but other states will follow Tripura. However, Nath’s statement came in contradictory when Tripura Govt arranged special relaxation in teachers’ recruitment when over thousands of TET qualified, B.Ed holders are not appointed but Govt dependent on relaxation of qualification in teachers’ recruitment.It was BJP to promise Tripura before Assembly Election 2018 to fillup 50000 posts in Govt depts in one year indeed. Unemployment rate in Tripura according to CMIE report is 23.3%.
Tripura School Education and also Higher Education both are suffering due to teachers crisis situations amid huge numbers of qualified youths are left jobless. The slow-going recruitment process has hit quality education in Tripura due to acute teachers crisis whereas TET qualified youths left jobless. Around thousands of qualified job aspirants have expressed resentments about recruitment delays, which the Govt is unable to handle under unknown reasons.
Thus, Tripura Govt has to focus on Teachers Recruitment as well as recruitments in other departments. Total 1141 TET qualified B.ed holders are left jobless.
