UDAIPUR, October 23 (TIWN): Administration is all set for Diwali, undoubtedly the greatest festival of Tripura. Apart from this Kali Puja/Diwali Festival is also known as the Kumbha of NorthEast with more than 5 lakhs devotees and tourists from different parts of the country as well as Bangladesh expected to gather this year. For the interests of pilgrims and tourists more than 2000 police personnel will be deployed only in Tripura sundari temple and fair complex . Moreover,police personnel with civilian clothes too will be there to provide safety and security. On Wednesday DM Gomati, SP Gomati, Chairman of Diwali Mela committee MLA Madhab Saha,SDM Udaipur Ajit Debnath and SDPO Ratan Kumar Das and other officials remained busy throughout the day to supervise the overall preparations.

Workers were busy whole night to make all the Govt stalls and commercial stalls ready just before Thrusday. The entire temple and fair complex will be monitored through CCTV.

15 Police Watch Towers have already been in service. In the temple complex a TSR temporary camp also has been set up. Apart from that, 450 volunteers of NCC, Disaster Management Team and Quick Response Team as well as Mobile Medical unit too will be available during the two day long festival. Cultural teams will perform non-stop to entertain the crowds. The temple and its surroundings have been illuminated with lights. Historical Udaipur is now waiting to receive lakhs of pilgrims in Matabari. Sadhus from various parts of the country have started to throng into MataBari. The world famous 'Pera' of MataBari made from Kheer are ready for customers.

In evening, Minister of Power Manik Dey is scheduled to inaugurate the cultural programme at Matabari Diwali Festival. Minister for Forest  Naresh Jamatia will inaugurate the Diwali Mela. Speaking to TIWN on Wednesday night SP Gomati Sankar Debnath said," We have prepared fully for the lakhs of tourists and devotees. Our forces will be on every possible places from early morning of Thursday. A few top level police officials too will monitor the overall security arrangement. " It is learnt that IG (Law & Order)  Anurag Dhyankar and DIG Southern Range Uttam Kumar Majumder will remain present at Matabari . Moreover, High Court Justice Subhasish Talapatra too is expected to come to MataBari on Thursday.
